Research

Karin Silver holds a Masters degree in Social Research from the University of Bath where she works on a wide range of research projects. Her own research interests lie in the areas of community involvement, participatory research, and the connections between social inclusion and sustainability in its broadest sense.

Her work with R K Partnership focuses on project evaluation, including questionnaire design and the analysis of qualitative feedback. She also works as an independent researcher and with local community groups in a voluntary capacity .

Karin's professional background encompasses language and study skills training, and cross-cultural communication, and she holds a first degree in Development Studies and Social Anthropology.

Karin Silver works at the Centre for the Analysis of Social Policy, with the Department for Health and in partnership with the Research Development Support Office, specialising in qualitative research methods and the use of new technologies to support research projects.

Research consultancy on scoping stage for evaluation of stakeholder engagement process

Evaluation of parenting programme: ask, Wiltshire
Data analysis, questionnaire design and planning of ongoing evaluation.

Children's Workforce Development Council (Practitioner Led Research Programme)
Lead researcher on two research projects using creative and participatory methods to investigate children’s experiences of out of school provision, and children’s involvement in decision-making and evaluation.
