Analyst Assessment Approaches
For any growing business it is important to become involved with different analyst assessments e.g. The Magic Quadrant or the Forrester Wave. As a business grows it will continue to compete with much larger businesses in a huge industry, which is why you need to consider being part of an analyst assessment, although it may seem daunting, it is a decision that needs to be made.
There are several Magic Quadrants, each specific to a service or product. These Quadrants are made up of various market research reports which are then presented in this unique manner by Gartner.
This qualitative analysis allows businesses to see where businesses within the same industries stand in comparison with each other and they will either be categorised as a challenger, leader, niche player or a visionary. If you want to get onto your Magic Quadrant speak to a former senior analyst who will be able to assist you in making a decision.
This is another form of evaluation but it is for vendors that work in a software, hardware or services market. Each business on a Forrester Wave will be graded against a criteria and then will have their scores published so that they can be compared against competitors or similar providers.
