R K Partnership work on a model that has a core of experienced and trusted colleagues and partner organisations that we work with as and when needed. Our main goal is to help clients respond to increasing demand for involving people in decision making.
Rob Angell is Director of R K Partnership and has 20 years experience in the environmental field ranging from facilitation & conflict resolution, training and process consultancy to environmental & sustainable development management, freelance writing, photography and campaigning.
Rob has designed and facilitated events and dialogue processes for groups from 10 to 150 people covering topics such as energy policy, transport and town centre regeneration schemes, waste management, economic development strategies, flood alleviation schemes and neighbourhood visions. He has also designed and run interactive training courses for the public, private and community sectors on consultation & participation and facilitation skills, environmental awareness and sustainable development.
During 9 years in the public sector, Rob helped refine the essential elements needed in public sector sponsored stakeholder dialogue and along with WWF-UK and the Community Education Development Centre (CEDC) he helped develop the model of neighbourhood Agenda 21 and community input to local government decision making in the UK.
Rob has been the lead facilitator and process consultant for a range of clients to deliberately involve stakeholders in formulating decisions or resolving conflicts. Examples include strategy development processes for national government and the private sector on waste, the decommissioning of nuclear power stations, consultations on wind energy for national government, policy & strategy on flood alleviation schemes for the Environment Agency and local government as well designing and running European wide e-consultations for WWF. He also writes articles, briefings & leaflets on environmental themes and decision making for sustainable development for a range of UK and overseas organisations, magazines and newspapers.
